Shirley Muldowney is the most famous and successful woman racer of all time, having won three NHRA Top Fuel championships and a fourth Top Fuel title in the AHRA.

Her life was chronicled in the hit movie "Heart Like A Wheel" starring Bonnie Bedelia.

In 2006, Bill presented Shirley at her induction into the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame in Ocala, FL.

Considered the greatest drag racer of all time, "Big Daddy" Don Garlits is not only one of Bill's boyhood idols, he is now a good friend.

"Big Daddy" asked Bill to work with him on compiling a treasury of his favorite stories from his half-century career in Top Fuel racing and the result was Tales From the Dragstrip.
